The beauty of giving can mean giving of our time and our resources.  God gave His very best for us- His one and only Son, Jesus, while we were still in sin!  God can teach us to be more generous!

Dave Ramsey's 7 Baby Steps list:
  1. Save $1,000 starter emergency fund.
  2. Pay off all debt except for the mortgage.
  3. Save 3-6 months of living expenses for an emergency fund- in a liquid, easy-access account, like checking, savings, or money market.
  4. Invest 15% of household income into a pre-tax or tax advantage account retirement fund, like a 401K or Roth IRA.
  5. Save for your children's college fund or niece/nephew if you don't have kids. Use something like a 529 plan  
  6. Pay off your Home early.
  7. Giving (charities, faith organizations, etc.).
