Make Every Moment Count by Bruce Wilkinson

In this video excerpt, Bruce Wilkinson challenges us to make every moment count.  He suggests that to do this we must be constantly scanning our environment for opportunities to lead by example.  And, by doing this, we continuously learn, teach, and as such, discover, unlock and live our Godly destiny.

Enjoy a good chuckle as Bruce shows us why he is an expert story teller.

Based on his research and 12 years of experience at Harvard, he clearly and humorously describes to organizations how to increase happiness and meaning, raise success rates and profitability, and create positive transformations that ripple into more successful cultures. He is also the author of "The Happiness Advantage."

How would Christ's destiny in you be served if you were a happier person?  Could it be that happiness precedes success?  This video will answer some questions for you.

Enlarge Your Boundaries, Remove Self-Imposed Limitations by Bobby Conner

Beloved, we are given overwhelming confidence as we take to heart the powerful promise revealed in Philippians 4:13 “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.”

Believers, I want to encourage you as well as inspire you to arise and take a bold stand for Christ and His kingdom. I can tell you with great confidence that the very best days of the people of God are right before us⎯not behind us!

Recently, Jesus Christ said to me, “Bobby, I give you My personal permission to attempt to exaggerate what I am about to do!” Amazed by this, I asked Him for a Scripture reference. The Lord Jesus promptly answered, “No problem!” and spoke these verses from Ephesians 3:20-21: "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Consider the Message Bible's version of this Scripture:  "God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us."

God can do anything (see Genesis 18:14). And what's more, our mighty King has outstanding plans for each and every one of us, plans that are more wonderful and sure than we could "ever imagine or guess or request"! The Lord assures us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 that, “No man has ever seen, heard or even imagined the wonderful things God has in store for those who love the Lord.”

The Compelling Vision by Rick Joyner

In this article, Rick Joyner shares a bit of his personal story in the context of making choices, as relates to God's destiny for your life.  This article will both challenge and encourage you to be in pursuit of that which fulfills God's purposes upon the earth.

Rick pens, "I shared how I had built a successful business while running from my calling in the Lord. I do think it was blessed by the Lord, because He will do all He can to bless us, even if we are not being perfectly obedient. However, as we see throughout the Scriptures, the Lord will bless many things He will not inhabit. Good can be the worst enemy of best, and there can be a great difference between good and best. We are all given the freedom to make this choice. Romans 12:2 exhorts, And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Here we see that the will of God can be “good and acceptable” or “perfect.” We can choose the “good and acceptable” and still be in His will and have a good and fruitful life. There is no condemnation for this, but rather blessing, and an eternal reward far greater than we can even imagine. But the Apostle Paul saw something much greater that he was running the race for, which he called “the high calling of God in Christ.” Even near the end of his life, he was still in focused pursuit of this (see Philippians 3).

Recognizing and Avoiding Negative Thinking

4/11/2015

Nothing will steal your Godly destiny faster than indulging automatic negative thinking (ANT).  The difficulty lies in having automatic negative thoughts.  This sort of default position must be challenged and confronted with the truth of who God is and what His promises are for every person on the planet. The key is to kill the ANT, and instead re-framing the negative thought to one of faith in God, and then take some positive ACTION.

Here are 9 types of negative patterns to stay on guard against.  They include:

All or nothing thinking - your thoughts are either all good or all bad.
  • For Instance, "There is nothing I can do to move toward my Godly destiny - I am doomed."
  • Replace with, "There are many small steps I can take to discover, unlock and live my Godly destiny."

Always thinking - using words like always, never, no one, everyone, every time, everything.
  • For instance, "No one ever listens to my ideas."
  • Replace with, "I only presented this idea to 3 people who for whatever reason seemed uninterested, so I am glad there are 7 billion people on the planet."

Focusing on the negative - only seeing the bad in a situation.
  • For instance, "I got splashed with water on the curb and now my whole day is ruined and the big meeting might as well just be cancelled."
  • Replace with, "I now have a great icebreaker to share with my group and have a good laugh and build rapport.  That soaking might just be the thing that makes this a great day."

Fortune Telling - predicting the worst possible outcome with little or no evidence.
  • For instance, "I just know that the cleaning service is going to break my grandmothers vase."
  • Replace with, "I am so blessed to have people come to my house to help keep it clean.  I am sure if anything gets broken that we can work it out."

Mind reading - believing you know what another person is thinking even though they have not told you.
  • For instance, "My boss thinks I am useless."
  • Replace with, "My boss seems overwhelmed and is having a rough day.  I wonder if I can do anything to make it better?  I am sure she would tell me if I have done something that is upsetting her."

Thinking with your feelings - believing negative feelings without questioning them.
  • For instance, "I feel annoyed and irritated with my brother."
  • Replace with, "Even though I feel irritated, I need to take a step back and consider where these feelings are coming from.  Regardless, I will choose to be forgiving to others and myself and embrace grace and mercy."

Guilt beatings - thinking in words like should, must, ought or have to.
  • For instance, "I must lose weight or I will never realize my destiny."
  • Replace with, "Lord I pray that you use me as I am and help me to be all you called me to be.  It's not by my strength but by your Spirit."

Labeling - attaching a negative label to yourself or someone else.
  • For instance, "I am such an introvert - how will I ever meet the people I need to work with to be all I am called to be?"
  • Replace with, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Blame - Blaming someone else for the problems you have.
  • For instance, "My dad beat me so now I can never be a gentle loving person."
  • Replace with, "With the help of the Holy Spirit, I will overcome this challenge and be seated with Christ."

By engaging your Christian faith, the ANTs will perish, leaving you one step closer to hearing on that fateful day, "Well done good and faithful servant."

The Way to See Your God-given Dreams Come True by Joyce Meyer

God gives His children big dreams to pursue in life. In order for those dreams to be fulfilled, we must spend time in training, cooperating with God in a process of personal development. This process includes time, determination and hard work.

These days, we're so used to convenience. We use automatic dishwashers to clean our dishes and laundry machines to dry and press our clothes. We just press a button and a machine goes to work. But nothing is automatic in God's kingdom. You can't fulfill His plans and purposes without developing the necessary skills.

In Proverbs, we read about the ant. Ants more than make up for their small size with simple determination, and we can learn a giant-size lesson from them. We must be just as self-motivated and self-disciplined.

As you develop that kind of self-motivation and discipline to live for Christ, you will become all God created you to be and also lead others to Him in the process. So keep pressing on, growing in determination, and watch your dreams come true!

Prayer Starter: Lord, I want to be all You created me to be and fulfill the dreams You've put in my heart. Help me to stay focused on You and put in the time, determination and hard work necessary to grow in Christ and live out the plans You have for me

Proverbs 6:6
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise...

In this video, Lord Stephen Carter speaks to the necessity of discerning between the somewhat superficial labels associated with formal learning verses the ability to critically think as a result of being a life long learner.

He speaks to the need of learning to listen, learning to learn, learning to like, and learning to lean on others.  The nature of our reality means that to be a person of destiny requires being a person that learns continuously throughout their life.

This is a very scientific discussion of what happens in your body between your gut and your brain.  Unless you are a doctor, the terminology will be unfamiliar, however, as you watch the presentation - tune into the overriding concepts.  You will be able to see how degeneration in the brain may be a cause of problems in the gut and vice-versa.  Additionally, you will be able to see how food sensitivities may be the ultimate cause of many chronic diseases, including serious degenerative brain problems.  With this information, you may be able to start a conversation with a health care professional to customize a diet that will optimize your brain-gut health.

One of our many goals is to stimulate your thinking, so that you begin to take the steps necessary to be as intellectually healthy as possible - and ultimately to use those intellectual faculties to be all you are called to be in the Lord.

Remember, there is no human problem or condition that is beyond the reach of the Lord to heal and He uses a variety of ways to bring wellness to people - including medical science.  We hope that you will prayerfully consider the science contained in this presentation in light of taking care of your brain and overall wellness.  Your destiny awaits and taking care of your body and brain is part of the formula to unlock your destiny.
