The Power of Purpose and Vision Part 3 by Dr. Miles Monroe

God has placed a seed of potential within you.  Genesis 1:11-12 states, “Then God said, “Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation—all sorts of seed-bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.” (NLT)

So, what is the potential principle?  It is understood by understanding what is in a seed.  A seed contains a tree, with fruit, with seeds, with trees, with fruit with seeds.

Inside of you is a Godly potential for an orchard of fruitfulness.  We pray you discover, unlock and love that destiny.

The greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a purpose.  The treasures of the earth are not found in gold, diamonds or oil.  The treasures of the earth are found in the cemeteries.  There you find the untapped potential of purpose that was never realized.

What is the real wealth hidden in the earth?  The potential found in Godly destinies.  Things like dormant power, untapped strength, hidden ability and unused success.

We pray this video opens your heart to the untapped power, strength, ability and success contained within your Godly purpose.

  4. Where am I going? – Destiny

We pray this video opens your heart to the Godly potential and destiny which lies within.

Do You Have Grit? - by Bill Hybels

Discovering your destiny requires that you have a personal "grit"...that thing that pushes you forward when you don't feel like doing something beneficial, or it is uncomfortable.  Teacher Bill Hybels shares on grit.  He provides the following bullet points:
  • GRIT-  Passion and perseverance over the long haul, they play hurt, they expect the hurdles and challenges to come but are relentless in getting over/around/through them… The Little Engine that Could…
  • Despite many losses, Abraham Lincoln had grit, Nelson Mandela…  Do you have grit?
  • Grit demands difficulty and is developed by “wins” in getting over hurdles or climbing the mountains.
  • What are we doing to develop our “grit”? “Grit developers.”
  • The enemy of grit is ease- we need to assign ourselves very difficult tasks and “will” yourself to achieve it.
  • Many elite leaders push themselves physically for the same discipline (exercise challenges)- one way to grow grit.
  • Volunteer for extra work assignments, don’t just deliver… over deliver and over deliver every time…. grit developer.
  • Hang out with gritty people.
  • When we are pushing ourselves hard, teammates and followers notice and some will push themselves to new levels.

Do you have the grit necessary to walk out your Godly destiny?

The Mystery of Destiny by John Paul Jackson

John Paul also teaches about the clarity/cost principle- with greater clarity of our calling and destiny, the greater the cost.  Further, John Paul explains that it is our choice whether or not we reach our destiny. At any moment, we can choose to “un-volunteer,” but what choice could we possibly make that would lead to greater joy than fulfilling the very purpose for which we were created?

Finally, John Paul interprets a woman’s dream that speaks to her calling in life. Have you been paying attention to your dreams? Calling dreams come in all shapes and sizes.  And yet sometimes, God will call you into your destiny through a supernatural experience, like the Apostle Paul experienced. However He speaks to you, we pray you will hear with perfect clarity and have the determination to take up your Cross and walk it out.
In this educational video, John Paul explains “On the road to destiny, the road is full of coincidences. Destiny isn’t fate. It’s not rigid, it’s not fixed. It’s not predetermined. Destiny has twists and turns. Coincidences are the milestones God uses to tell us we are on the right track. Destiny isn’t a straight line. It’s more like a tapestry that’s woven every day by the decisions we make. God is the one who gave you your destiny. He gave it, but you get to walk it out.”

Knowing Your Learning Style by Dr. Richard Felder

As you seek to discover, unlock and live your Godly destiny, you will need to learn many things.  Everyone is unique, therefore everyone learns differently.  Dr Richard Felder has championed a methodology for helping people understand how they learn.  Additionally, educators and coaches can adjust their teaching approach to better reach their students, by understanding how their students process information.

This issue of learning style may be one of the most important things you can know about yourself, as you seek your Godly destiny.  It does no good to "study to show yourself approved" if you don't know how to study and what sorts of learning opportunities to seek out.

According to Dr Felder, their are four pairs of learning considerations - each of which lies upon a continuum.  They include:

Picture

You will lie somewhere on a scale between being an active or reflective learner, a sensing or intuitive learner, a visual or verbal learner, and a sequential or global learner.  Once you have an understanding of your unique way of learning, you can seek appropriate tools and teachers to guide you on the path of destiny.

Are you curious what your personal learning style index looks like?  Dr Felder and Solomon have developed a quick 44 question test that should serve as a good starting point.  The test is free and can be taken online here - http://www.engr.ncsu.edu/learningstyles/ilsweb.html

A Prayer for Purpose by Pastor Darlene Zschech

Enjoy this anointed prayer for living out purpose and impacting the world for Jesus.  Darlene says it well, “…Father we understand today that forgiveness and reconciliation and blessing and favor is given for a reason Lord God, it is given for PURPOSE Father…”
We want to encourage you to try a little experiment.  Just take 5 minutes each morning and ask the Lord to help you discover, unlock and live your destiny.  Tell Him how much you love His Kingdom and want to see it advanced upon the earth.

Sometimes it is the simple prayers that open the most significant doors.  We believe that as you pray for your destiny fulfilled that God's faithfulness will direct your steps.

The Gift of Faith by Ben Peters

This is an article we found on ElijahList.com.  We shortened the article and made some minor changes to the language to fit our theme of helping you discover your Godly destiny, but we preserved the essence of Ben Peters ideas and encouragement.  We suggest that you seek the Gift of Faith as you lean into God to discover your destiny.

Ben Peters shares regarding the Gift of Faith - while mothers will most often lovingly choose a gift that will make her child happy, a father (if he is involved enough to do some shopping) will often choose a gift that will help the child get better prepared for life's challenges. The father might buy his son tools or sports equipment. He might get his daughter books or supplies for hobbies and other activities. Fathers may have two separate motives. The first would be to help their kids succeed in life. The second would be to give them something to do that they can help them with, thus spending bonding time together.

I believe our Heavenly Father also gives gifts for the same basic reasons. He certainly wants to help us to be successful. When we use His gifts successfully, it builds His Kingdom and when we are honored, our Father is also honored. Secondly, when we use His gifts, we always need His help and advice, because we understand so little of the spiritual world, and we draw closer and closer to Him as we work with His gifts and draw from His wisdom and grace to use them productively.

Have you thought of asking your Heavenly Father for the Gift of Faith to reach your full Godly potential?

It was over 45 years ago that God gave Ben Peters his first major revelation. It was the simplicity of a Christian's walk of faith – trusting the word of a close friend – someone you know quite intimately. The Gift of Faith is more of a supernatural phenomenon than normal day-to-day faith. It comes "upon" you like other gifts, such as prophecy or word of knowledge. When you have this gift, you just "know" God will do something. You don't have to do mental gymnastics to convince yourself that God will do it. You just know it, and you can encourage others to believe because of that knowledge.

This Gift of Faith will easily conquer the obstacles of faith, and like every other gift, it is not earned or rewarded to those who qualify. God's gifts are just that – gifts. We have no right to show them off, except to say, "Look what my Father gave me! He is amazing, and I didn't deserve such a wonderful gift." Some versions of Psalm 68:18 declare that God gave His gifts even to the rebellious, so that He could dwell among His people through His gifts.

At any rate, the gifts are to help us build His Kingdom, not to prove our spirituality or build our own ministry kingdom. If we stay humble, He will bless us with more and more fruitfulness. He will increase the anointing on our gifts and widen our sphere of influence. However, if we take any credit for our ministry gifts, God must resist us.

The fact is: God has to resist the proud, because pride is the chief characteristic and first sin of the devil, whom we are told to resist. When we humble ourselves, He sees the image of His Son, Jesus, who humbled Himself to serve others (see Philippians 2:8). He loves to give us grace when He sees His Son in us. That grace empowers our gifts to higher levels.

God is a loving Father and wants to see you happy, fulfilled, and blessed. He doesn't just want to use you to build His Kingdom. You are His child, in whom He delights. This Gift of Faith is being offered to you who desire it. As a natural father to five and grandfather to twelve, and as a spiritual father to many more, Ben speaks a Father's Blessing over you.

I bless you with grace to receive this Gift of Faith from your Heavenly Father. He knows your lack and your weakness and failures. I speak His grace and favor to you as you humble yourself before Him and acknowledge that you don't deserve anything. But as His child, you are appealing to His Father's heart of love. I bless you with time to set aside to be alone with Him. I bless you with ears to hear His voice as He instructs you about the use of His gift to you. I bless you with His power, love, and a sound mind and freedom from all fear of exercising your gifts.
