On Identity: Insecurity, Inferiority, and Self-Hatred with Vlad Savchuk

In this inspiring video, "What Happened to my Eyes," Pastor Vlad Savchuk openly shares the deep insecurities that were in his life as a young man, due to a birth defect and other life circumstances.

Vlad experienced bullying and negative thoughts associated with his physical appearance, moving to a new nation as a young teenager, and having few friends. He wrestled with despair and self-hate. He explains how he overcame these obstacles through His relationship with Jesus.

What is a mental stronghold? According to 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Christians are to reject and overcome these strongholds by taking every thought captive and replacing false ideas with God's truth to achieve freedom and spiritual victory.

Relevant Scripture: "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." -2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NIV)

Our Prayer for you is that you would fully submit to the Lord Jesus in your thought life ~ and learn to use the Word of God with daily discipline over your thoughts to find freedom from mental strongholds. May you walk in victory over the deception of failed human reasoning and the lies of any spiritual darkness over your mind. May you live out your Godly Destiny in the mental peace, freedom, and truth that Jesus Christ paid for on the Cross with his shed Blood. And finally, may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus! Amen!

Jesus said, "Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise up and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"—He said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house" (Luke 5:23,24).

Similarly, God healed Greg from blindness to demonstrate His power to forgive sins and cleanse the heart and mind. Glory be to God and Jesus Christ His Son!

Supernatural healing and wellness must be part of the Christian experience. In fact, our humble little outreach efforts were founded on a hope for Isaiah 60:1-3, which reads, "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."

In this video, Aliss encourages us to step out in faith and live our Godly destiny, which, in part, is to arise and shine.
