Bill Johnson Teaches How to Take Communion at Home

10/9/2025

About the video: Pastor Bill Johnson, a fifth-generation pastor with a rich heritage in the Holy Spirit, teaches us about the essentials of receiving communion in one's private, dedicated prayer time at home.  We encourage you to partake in the Elements of Holy Communion regularly to enhance your walk with the Lord Jesus. We pray that as you do, you would draw ever closer to the Lord and in your fullest of days, live out your God-given destiny, Amen.

Relevant Scripture: I Corinthians 11:23-29 (TLB)  For this is what the Lord himself has said about his Table, and I have passed it on to you before: That on the night when Judas betrayed him, the Lord Jesus took bread,  and when he had given thanks to God for it, he broke it and gave it to his disciples and said, “Take this and eat it. This is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me.”  In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new agreement between God and you that has been established and set in motion by my blood. Do this in remembrance of me whenever you drink it.” For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup you are retelling the message of the Lord’s death, that he has died for you. Do this until he comes again.  So if anyone eats this bread and drinks from this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, he is guilty of sin against the body and the blood of the Lord. That is why a man should examine himself carefully before eating the bread and drinking from the cup. For if he eats the bread and drinks from the cup unworthily, not thinking about the body of Christ and what it means, he is eating and drinking God’s judgment upon himself; for he is trifling with the death of Christ.

The following video, named "Grieve With Hope," is by Megan Marshman, who holds a Doctor of Ministry and serves as a teaching pastor at Willow Creek Community Church.

She shares not only about grieving the loss of death, but also about grieving the loss of anything in our lives: a marriage, a job, an estrangement from family members, the declining health of self or others, and other types of painful loss.

Goals of the Message:
1.) Recognizing What Grief Is
2.) Learning Why Grief is Important
3.) Learning to Grieve Well

Relevant Scripture: "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ."

-2 Cor 1: 3-5 (NLT)

OUR PRAYER FOR YOU is that the Heavenly Father will enfold you with His love as you lay your burdens down at His feet. May the Lord give you peace, comfort, strength, and His Kingdom perspective on your loss, so that you can live in hope and purpose. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

What Are Anti-Inflammatory Foods & Why Are They Crucial for Health? | Dr. Rob Lustig Ultimate Guide

10/1/2025

From the video description: "Levels Advisor Robert Lustig, MD, describes how to change your diet from one that is inflammatory to one that keeps inflammation in check.

❌ You can lessen inflammation by avoiding these ingredients:
  • Processed seed oils (i.e., soybean, corn, canola)
  • Sugar
  • Ultra-processed foods (often laden with seed oils and sugar)
✅ You can eat an anti-inflammatory diet by prioritizing these ingredients/nutrients:
  • Fiber: fiber feeds your gut microbiome.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids: these support the brain, neurotransmission, the immune system, and cardiovascular health.
  • Vitamin D: this vitamin suppresses toll-like receptors, and that suppression helps control inflammation."

Relevant Scripture: "Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body." -1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT

About Inflammation:
"Studies have shown that chronic low-grade inflammation is associated with the development of a number of chronic diseases.  In particular, it is associated with an increased risk of mortality from all causes, as well as an increased risk of cancer, type 2 diabetes, neurodegenerative disease, and cardiovascular disease.  In addition to physical diseases, chronic inflammation is implicated in the development of mental illness, including depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.

Diet plays a key role in inflammation.

For example, Mediterranean dietary patterns, which are rich in fruits, vegetables, fatty fish, poultry, extra virgin olive oil, and whole grains, are associated with lower systemic inflammation.  On the other hand, Western dietary patterns, which are characterized by low consumption of fruits and vegetables and high consumption of ultra-processed high-calorie foods, are associated with increased levels of inflammation." (Source: https://nutrition.org/the-link-between-diet-inflammation-and-disease/

Our prayer for you is that you would prayerfully consider submitting to the Lord in all things- including changing unhealthy lifestyle choices.  By avoiding inflammatory food choices, you will enhance your overall health and longevity. May the Lord bless you with the grace to practice a healthy diet and choose healthy, non-inflammatory options, so that you may live the fullness of your Godly destiny. May you one day hear from God, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:21) Amen!

Do Yourself A Favor & Forgive by Joyce Meyer

9/30/2025

From the video description: "Don't be offended, do yourself a favor and forgive, don't take the opportunity to be offended, don't fall for the trap of offense, offense leads to bitterness and hatred, learn to forgive quickly."

Relevant Scripture:
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
(Colossians 3:13 NLT)

“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.  But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins."
-Jesus
(Matthew 6:14-15 NLT)

About Forgiveness: As Christians, we forgive others because it mirrors the forgiveness we have received from God, remembering the great sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross to atone for our sins. The Bible tells us that we are to imitate God. (see Eph. 5:1-2) Extending forgiveness is a direct command from Jesus Christ, and also liberates us from bitterness and resentment. Forgiveness allows for spiritual growth, enables reconciliation, and breaks the cycle of past hurts, leading to greater peace and a closer relationship with God.  It is an act of compassion that reflects God's own mercy towards us and is essential for our spiritual well-being.

Our prayer for you is that you would recognize when the trap of offense comes into your heart and mind, and that you would submit that offense to the Lord and surrender it, forgiving those who have hurt you or offended you.

To forgive, you might follow these steps:
1.)  Acknowledging the hurt or offense
2.)  Asking for strength from God to release the hurt
3.)  Choosing to forgive that person, surrendering all the bitterness, hostility, or feelings of hatred you have held towards the offender to the Lord Jesus Christ
4.)  Remembering that God is the ultimate judge of wrongdoings
5.)  Praying for the offender

Remember, you may not feel like forgiving, but we are commanded to forgive. We choose to forgive.  We choose to pray blessings over the person who hurt us, in obedience to the words of Jesus: "But I say, love your enemies!  Pray for those who persecute you!" (Matthew 5:44 NLT)

Being obedient to the Heavenly Father by forgiving others will lead to  healing, peace, and life, so that you can walk in your Godly Destiny! Amen.

How to Break A Stronghold For Good - Breaking the Cycle by David Diga Hernandez

9/30/2025

From the video description: "If you're tired of going through the same cycle of sin, shame, and confusion, if you're ready to walk in victory and freedom, then this message is for you. David Diga Hernandez gives you 5 simple keys that you can apply right now to experience lasting transformation."

What is a mental stronghold? In the Bible, a mental stronghold is a deceptive pattern of thought, argument, or belief that opposes God's knowledge and truth, preventing a believer from living according to His will.  These "fortresses of lies" are built in the mind through repeated false beliefs, attitudes, and emotions like fear, guilt, pride, or human reasoning.  According to 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Christians are to reject and overcome these strongholds by taking every thought captive and replacing false ideas with God's truth to achieve freedom and spiritual victory.

Relevant Scripture: "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." -2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NIV)

Our Prayer for you
is that you would fully submit to the Lord Jesus in
your thought life ~ and learn to use the Word of God with daily discipline over your thoughts to find freedom from mental strongholds. May you walk in victory over the deception of failed human reasoning and the lies of any spiritual darkness over your mind.  May you live out your Godly Destiny in the mental peace, freedom, and truth that Jesus Christ paid for on the Cross with his shed Blood. And finally, may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus! Amen!

Do You Struggle With Gluttony? by Vlad Savchuk

9/29/2025

From the Video Description: "Do you find yourself constantly thinking about food? When the compelling desire for food and drink becomes intensely important to us, it’s a sign that it has become an idol in our lives.  Gluttony in the Bible is a form of idolatry and any form of idolatry is a serious offense to God.  Overcoming gluttony is less about losing weight and more about gaining a new perspective in life.  Food cannot comfort you; only the Holy Spirit does that!  He is the great Comforter, your best Friend.  So ask Him to help your mind, will, and emotions make the right decisions concerning food consumption."

Relevant Scripture: "Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?  You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT)

Our prayer for you is that you would fully submit to the Lord Jesus in your dietary habits and lifestyle in order to be a good steward of your body.  God wants you to live your most healthy, victorious, overcoming life, so that you can let your light shine for Christ as you live your Godly Destiny. Amen!

Study: Deeper Engagement With Scripture Can Lead to Improved Health and 'Increased Levels of Hope' by CBN News

According to CBN reporter Andrea Morris:

With the ongoing pandemic, many people have been battling mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, bitterness, and unforgiveness.

Doctors say emotional health is directly tied to physical health; however, new research shows people can dramatically improve their overall well-being by reading scripture.

John Plake from the American Bible Society discussed findings from a recent study, revealing that deeper engagement with the Bible can have a positive effect on people." In the midst of a pandemic and this sort of once in a century disruption we've been experiencing in America, we were interested to know, how does the Bible help people? We were extremely heartened to realize that in the midst of languishing and the struggle that the nation's been in, people who are deeply connected to the Bible and to Christian community are remarkably resilient," Plake told CBN's Healthy Living.

Plake said it's clear that stress levels have increased as a result of COVID-19, and that extra stress hasn't ended.
"Stress levels are extremely high. Every indicator of stress that we looked at, and there are 10 of them in the study, was up when the pandemic was really starting to take hold and people's lives were being disrupted," he explained. "Stress hasn't gone down, it's actually up. We saw that 48 percent of Americans say they've experienced a significant, traumatic event in lives."

Yet, research shows that people who are connected with a strong Christian community and deeply involved with God's Word were more apt to overcome certain challenges.

"What we discovered was if people were scripture-engaged, meaning more than just putting in time to read the Bible, but a consistent interaction with the Bible that begins to shape people's choices and transforms their relationships with God, with themselves and others," Plake said. "When deeply engaged with scripture and allowing it to touch their hearts, we see significantly decreased levels of stress."

"We see increased levels of hope. Some of the highest levels of hope for the future are among people who are closest to the Bible. Then lastly we see among people who have been traumatized that people who are scripture-engaged are more likely to forgive those who might have hurt them. Even if those people didn't ask for forgiveness."
Plake said the bright spot in 2020 and 2021 is that the American Bible Society recorded a substantial rise in Bible users.

"We saw an increase on the order of 12 million people who are now using the Bible at least occasionally that weren't before. We went from about 169 million people who use the Bible at least occasionally to 181 million people that were recorded in January of 2021. That's really good news."

Consistent time with God's Word and the importance of going to church were also examined during the study.
Plake noted that involvement in church and the faith community can provide answers for those who are hurting.
"In this time when people are struggling with grief, displacement, disappointment ... their hopes have been dashed in many ways for many people across America, I think it's an opportunity for the church to say there's a bigger picture here. There's a bigger story here and there's a community of people who love you," he explained.
"The church provides that community of people who love you, the Bible provides the bigger story. The Bible is the story of how God is at work in the midst of our struggles to overcome those struggles and bring about a preferred future and the hopes that we all have for a better life."

We pray that your time spent reading and engaging the message contained in the Bible, along with enjoying the fellowship of other believers, will help you to enjoy better overall health so that you can Discover, Unlock, and Live your Godly Destiny! Amen!

2/9/2016

In this video, Bill Johnson shares with us how "the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (Rev 19:10). Bill further shares about the power of testimony, that each time we share about the work of God in our lives, we are creating an atmosphere for that miracle to be duplicated.

We pray that you will carry the "testimony" of Jesus into all you do as you discover, unlock, and live your Godly destiny.
